You might have noticed the blatant lack of outfit posts this week.  Well I called uncle on this week.  Work, life, and everything else was a bit too much for me to keep up.  Also Scott is traveling for work and when I don't have a photog at my disposal, wellllllll......you get a week of things that are inspiring me around the interwebs.  I promise I'll be better next week.  In the meantime, I'm stoked about the impending arrival of college football and hopefully a close(ish) game against 'Bama on Saturday night.

It's very well documented that I bleed chicago maroon and burnt orange (here and here).  But regardless of your college affiliation, a great gift this holiday season for the college enthusiast fashionista is Fan Feet.


Now offering 10 different schools, showing your school pride has never been more stylish.  I own both the Chelsea and Let's Go Peep Toe style in Virginia Tech and can say from experience that these shoes are not only fantastic, but also are comfortable! Here's hoping that a pair of your alma mater's shows up in your stocking.

Fall means many fabulous things, but at the top of my list is college football and more specifically, the Hokies.




Another fun fact for you: when hubs & I were announced at our reception, we were announced to 'Enter Sandman' & because 95% of the attendees were Hokies themselves, the entire room was jumping. It is still one of my favorite memories.

I don't feel like I ask too too much of my readers, but I do have a favor to ask of you now.  I'm 'coaching' the Virginia Tech Team for the Fan Feet Challenge.  We are paired up against the Wolfpack and this is what I am asking of you.

Hubs left me for an ENTIRE weekend, which usually would have meant me lounging on the couch and doing nothing.  Something a little like this...



Unfortunately, Coco was the only one would did this all weekend.  The Virginia Tech Alumni Association Research Triangle Chapter hosted a tailgate for the Virginia Tech/Duke Football game locally.  Over 400 alumni came out, which is an absolutely crazy number for our chapter.  Don't get me wrong, Hokies travel well, but the tailgates that our chapter usually hosts reach barely above 100.  The more the merrier, and it was a fabulous day.  I love hanging with my Hokies.


Sunday my girlfriends and I caught brunch at NoFo at the Pig.  Brunch is my all-time fave meal and NoFo has a great brunch menu, as well as an uber cute gift shop.


We then caught the matinee of the Carolina Ballet's production of Dracula.  If you follow me on Twitter, then you already know that I had the privilege of catching the dress rehearsal a few months ago.  However, it was really that fantastic of a production, that I went again, with girlfriends in tow, to get us all in the Halloween spirit.  As always, the Carolina Ballet did not disappoint and it was a brilliant last show.  We also had fantastic seats so that always helps.  Going to the ballet always makes me want to dust of my pointe shoes.

For those of you who know me, you have to know how difficult it is for me to keep a secret, especially when it is something that I am excited about.  So when a good friend of mine approached me about doing a line of high heels for colleges, I was cautiously optimistic, but kept my mouth shut because I was sworn to secrecy.  When they then told me they were interested in doing a line for Virginia Tech, I was beyond thrilled.  It marries both my love of my Alma Mater with my love of fashion and heels.  What could get better?!  I waited patiently as Fan Feet rolled out other shoes first.  I gently poked and prodded my poor friends to say that Virginia Tech was the best bet for their next shoe (which they knew and I think were torturing me for the fun of it).  After being fully indoctrinated into the Hokie Nation, they totally agreed and I'm so thrilled to FINALLY be able to share the Chelsea heel.
