When we were visiting Savannah, I was very serious about finding outfits that would survive the warm weather, but also be comfortable. This top from Kate Moss for Topshop fit the bill. Which, BTW, have you seen the collection?! It's the perfect mix of boho glam that only Kate Moss and Topshop could make. As you can see, my hair did not so much hold up in the humidity which had already hit the city, but overall, I'll take it as a win.

Floral Print Heels 2 Ways with Bedazzles After Dark
9/14/2012
Hi everyone!! I am so excited that Chelsea has asked me to guest blog again for HCITC! When we last met I discussed Golden Globe jewelry trends. Now, I am going to share another accessory I'm currently obsessed with: Floral Print Shoes.
I know that printed shoes can seem scary at first, but I assure you they will be an amazing addition to your collection. I simply adore wearing my floral pumps and discovering new pieces from my closet to match them up with. Here, I've shared my top 2 favorites up above. Well, let's dive right in!
One pairing I'm thrilled about trying for fall is with a peplum top! {Right now, they're all I can think about} See how the peplum and flowers really jazz up a pair of dark skinnies - super chic! Another fashion forward option and my personal go-to outfit is a pretty dress with bold shoes. Where I would normally wear a brightly colored shoe, let's swamp them out for these abstract floral pumps. Instant upgrade!
Since the shoes are so vibrant and have such an impact on your look, I'd recommend to keep your accessories super clean and easy. For the 1st look I chose some basic but gorgeous studs and gold chain link bracelet. A glittered cross body keeps your hands free to chat with friends and hold your champagne. For the second outfit, a statement making necklace is all the bling you'll need. Choose a chic clutch and you've got an elegant yet sharp ensemble.
So what do you think? Are you ready to test out the waters with patterned shoes? One outfit and a few compliments later, I guarantee you'll be hooked! I hope you'll come visit me over at my blog, Bedazzles After Dark and drop me a line! I'd love to see if you try these suggestions and how they work out for you. You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram! Thanks again Chels for having me over!!

Transitioning with Poor Little It Girl
9/11/2012
If you haven't heard of Poor Little It Girl already, you should run over to Cathy's site immediately. Not only is her sense of style spot on, but everything she features is affordable. It really a win-win. I'm so honored and stoked that she was able to fill in for me while I'm gone. So without further ado, here's Cathy!
Hi y’all! It’s Cathy, your Poor Little It Girl, here to fill in for Chelsea while she’s on a blogging vacation. Poor Little It Girl is about finding amazing fashions, all for under $100! With that said, as fall approaches, all of us are looking forward to transitioning our wardrobe from the cotton sundresses of summer to looks with layers and texture. My favorite part of fall, without a doubt, has to be the perfect lightweight jacket! Being in the south (did you catch the “y’all” at the beginning?) it’s still too warm to be fully covered, but the addition of the perfect jacket or blazer on those cool nights is a necessity. So here are my favorite styles of lightweight outwear for fall that, your guessed it, are all under a hundo! http://poorlittleitgirl.com

Over the winter I purchased a blazer from JCrew that was chartreuse. I have now totally embraced the color, which I was a bit reluctant about to begin with and am excited to rock a more brighter shade in the upcoming spring months. I think that it will be a great color to use in conjunction with all of the nautical and prep that we'll be seeing in the upcoming months.
Mint Dream by hautechild featuring beaded jewelry
What spring pastel am I most obsessed with these days?? Mint. I love the alternative to a cream or white as a neutral. And I adore that designers are incorporating this color more and more into their collections and on the racks this season. Above are some of my picks of items that I am currently lusting over.

Navaho is everywhere right now and I suspect that it will only get bigger this fall. I'm not a huge fan of the navaho trend, but I do think that given the right pieces you can mix it into your wardrobe without being too over the top. I've put together two looks: one blatantly using the trend (above) and one a bit more subtle (below).
So what do you think? Are you going to try out this trend this fall?
