On our way home, I demanded requested that we head into Charleston for a quick lunch and walk about. I mentioned yesterday about my love for this city, but in my opinion, nothing beats it in the South. It has all of this old-time, great Southern charm.

Since we would be walking around, I opted for some sensible shoes and some light and breezy pieces that would let me stay comfy in the still-not-quite-fall weather. And yes, I wore a scarf. Despite the fact it is wool, it is surprisingly light. The Blythe shirt is one of my all-time faves of JCrew and it's on sale now with an extra 30% off..it's a steal and fabulous.

I have a not-so shameful secret - I still wear some of my maternity clothing. It's something that I probably should be more concerned with, but honestly, the fabrics are so soft and comfy and there's the right amount of give for the days that I'm not feelin' it.
A line that I would have loved to be on the scene when I was pregnant is Fourth Love. Susan hit the nail on the head when she created a line that provides women with effortlessly chic, high quality items. Feeling like you are put together in clothes that make you feel great is tough when you are pregnant, but Fourth Love accomplishes all of that and more.
Another plus is when chasing after a little one, it's good to have something that moves so well.
And yes, this running thing is happening and yes, that is a baby mullet Peanut is rocking.

Sometimes Sundays just call for a little bit of fancy, even if you are dressing down. The embellishments on this JCrew sweatshirt fit the bill. It's not available on-line anymore, but is on-sale in stores. It's the perfect spring/summer sweatshirt: great for layering, light enough to wear on its own. I highly recommend snagging it in the white or the navy if you happen to come across it.

Quiet in our house these days is a relative term and usually some semblance of it doesn't occur until way after 9:00 pm, which, for the record, is my bedtime. (Seriously, I'm lamesauce). But regardless, when I do get a moment to myself, I love to spend that time reading. Whether it's catching up on Vogue (which I still woefully a few months behind in) or tackling the my recent pick on my Kindle, I love to spend time in our guest room. It's the room in our place that gets the least amount of use. There's not a TV in there so it's easier to not get distracted. And the bed is heavenly; it was my bed in college and is the perfect mix of comfort and firmness.
This being the month of love and all, I thought that I'd spend the week of Valentine's Day running down things I love. So to kick off this week, let me introduce you to my latest love: tieks. Loved by celebrities and normal people alike, these shoes are definitely going on my must-have list of 2013.
Tieks \
\, noun. The most versatile designer flats in the world. Made of the finest Italian leathers and designed to fold and fit in a purse. Wearable all day, every day.

I am not one for flats; however, I have to say that even these have me smitten. Not only are they gorgeously designed, but they are comfortable, flexible, foldable for easy storage in your purse, and the bag that they are stored in doubles as a storage bag for your heels when you switch them out. Plus they are available in pretty much any color that you can think of. I'm partial to the leopard pair (above) or the fuchsia or lovestruck. And since we have a little one on the move, I might be having to invest more in some flats.
Does anyone have a pair of these bad boys? Would you rock them?
