Met Gala
2011 Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala
5/04/2011
One day, I hope to be able to attend the Met Gala. Until that day, I will judge celebrities and their stylists from the comfort of my couch.
This year, the Met celebrated the late designer, Alexander McQueen. I do adore McQueen's designs and I hope that his fashion house will continue to put out inspired pieces that I will continue to lust after for years to come.
Without further ado, here are my picks for best dressed on Monday night

I loved all of the reds and nude colors that made their spring debut last night. I also adore the bright tones (Ginnifer Goodwin/Brooklyn Decker). For those who didn't make the cut (ahem, Olsen twins), there's always next year.

Awards Season Best Dressed
3/01/2011
Honestly, I was a little disappointed this year with the fashions this awards season. There were some absolutely fabulous dresses, but no real stand-outs in my mind. I don't think that there were any iconic dresses like Halle Berry's dress from 2002 or Julia Robert's 2001 dress.
Stars did bring their A-games to awards show though. I've included a few of my faves below. Based on the gowns from the past few months, I would bank on seeing more metallics, nudes, reds, and jewel tones in store in the upcoming months.

Mila Kunis is one of the few who was consistently outstanding during this season. Her dresses, hair, and makeup were just on par at each event. She looked even better than the previous one, was elegant, and age-appropriate. Love love love her looks.
What were some of your favorite Award Show looks this season? Did I leave anyone off?
Angelina Jolie,
Anne Hathaway,
Eva Longoria,
Golden Globes,
Lea Michelle,
Olivia Wilde
And the winners are.....
1/17/2011The Golden Globes are arguable one of the better award shows of the Hollywood award season. They are jovial, upbeat, and the fashion is to die for. The Hollywood Foreign Press throws a heck of a party (and based on some of their nominations and choices, one might think that the open bar started months ago).
While the winners are important, let's be honest, I really care about who wore what, who looked fabulous, and who was a total fashion disaster.
