sea anemone

There's something about this dress that hits all of the right marks for me.  Beautiful structure (check), fantastic details (check), pink (double check).  I had originally found another dress to wear to a wedding over the weekend, but after finding this number, I knew that I couldn't pass up on it.  (Added bonus is that it reminds me a bit of a sea anemone...is it weird that this feature is a bonus to me?)

Here's the thing about motherhood, it seems to infiltrate every part of your life.  I went to shoot this dress and didn't even realize until after the fact that I had an R2D2 band-aid on my thumb. Not that I could have taken it off, I got a pretty gnarly gash on it, but it seems that this tends to be a metaphor for my life.  A little bit of fancy, a little bit of Star Wars.
