I don't know about you, but the long holiday weekend was just what the doctor ordered. This time of year, I find the weather to be a little fickle. Mornings tend to have a bit of a chill, but by the afternoons (at least in the south), it's quite warm. Throwing on a great leather jacket over a light weight button up is the way to go for me. Most of these items I have had for awhile, but since they are great staples, they are pretty much available year-round.

What I love as an easy option for the summer is a fit and flare dress. Gap does a great job with fit and flare (I've shared some options below for you) and though what I'm wearing is from last year, they still have a lot of options available. Throw on a denim jacket and out the door I go.

Mother's Day is quickly approaching and since I've been a mother, I've taken a hard look at items that I've given my mother over the years. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure she appreciated and enjoyed the items that I carefully selected or made; it takes a mother's love, afterall, to fully appreciate macaroni art. But now that I have the perspective of being a mother, myself, I have come to better appreciate the gifts that elevate my life; little things that I enjoy that make my life a little more luxurious, a little more comfortable, and make me feel a little more fancy. With that in mind, here are my recommendations for items to pamper that special woman in your life, who loves you - macaroni art and all.

Do you watch Scandal? I binge watched it over the summer last year and am hooked in a serious way. Between the fashion, the writing, and the story lines color me obsessed. I especially love the term that they use for their team - gladiators (or rather gladiators in suits). Which leads me to this shoe. I've been looking for the perfect summer sandal for quite sometime - it's an area of my shoe closet which always seems lacking. The good news is that I found it in the form of Rebecca Minkoff. So basically, it's handled.

Did you have FOMO over the weekend from all of the posts on Coachella? I have to be honest, I didn't. Oddly enough (or maybe not-so-oddly if you know me), the very idea of Coachella is my worst nightmare. Out in a desert. limited bathrooms. the masses. The only appealing item to me is the ferris wheel and, of course, the killer music line up.
The one thing that I can get behind is music festival wardrobe. The light gauzy materials, the florals, the sandals - color me sold. And this dress, it hits all of the check marks for me.

I am a person who loves the details. I think often the details make the outfit. So with that being said, I love pieces which are unique and have that umphf (that's a technical term if you are wondering). These earrings certainly fit the bill for me - they are completely unique and come with another set of studs in a more neutral color to interchange so technically they are 4 earrings in one. I'm also wearing my engravable necklace again, which hasn't seemed to leave my neck except to shower.

This time of year I'm all about comfort and layers. As I mentioned in Monday's post, the sutton necklace is pretty fantastic for layering and with its versatility, there are endless possibilities. This engravable bar necklace was a surprise in my package of goodies from Christine. She has two little guys herself and being a busy mother, it's so nice to have a little piece of our little ones as we are out and about.

I hope you and yours had a really fantastic Easter weekend! Ours was crazy, fabulous, and exhausting. You see, my birthday was on Sunday and in addition to it being a holiday weekend, we had family in town and celebrations. And to keep the party started, I am kicking this week off with a fun collaboration and a giveaway thanks to the awesome Christine.
If you've followed me for any amount of time, you've likely noticed I'm a sucker for a good layered necklace look. That's why I adore the Sutton and Somervell options. First off, the sutton is a huge win because there are seriously so many different ways you can rock it - it is rarely the same look twice and then layered with some serious bling - color me sold!

On top of the show, which runs all week, I'll also be sharing some of my favorite pieces and how I style them throughout the week. However, you've probably noticed that it is rare that I am without my renegade bracelet. It's a staple in my arm candy and now I'm stoked to be able to give away one to you beautiful readers.
Today, I'm excited to announce that I'm working with a longtime friend of mine, Christine, on a special trunk show with Stella and Dot. If you've noticed anything about my wardrobe, it is that I am a sucker for a good piece of jewelry (usually a statement piece). Regardless if your taste is statement or delicate, Stella & Dot really has something for everyone.
Not only will you be able to shop the event, but everyone who makes a purchase though this link (or the above) is also entered to WIN THE HOSTESS CREDIT. So you get pretty baubles, get to shop from the comfort of your own home, and you could win the hostess credit - let's be honest, it's a win all around.
To help you with your purchases, I've worked with Christine to highlight some of my favorites, as well as some unique ways to style them.
First my current favorite combo: The Lila and Sutton (mixed metals, see below) combined. Between the sparkle of the Lila and the unique combo of the Sutton (which can be worn 5 different ways), I'm smitten with not only the bang, but the versatility.
Next up, the Georgie and the Pegasus - both truly unique pieces that you can wear both everyday to a night on the town.
[Georgie]
[Pegasus]
If subtlety is more your style, try out the Aria necklace. The soft, clear stone and delicate chains make it the perfect layering piece.
Also, check out the Devon - perfect to keep long or short - and the Rebel, a long time fave of mine.
[Devon]
[Rebel]
Others on my list:

[Claudia Stack, Florence Stack, and Pave Spear Ring]

[Cleopatra Studs, Flora Earrings (can be worn 4 ways?!), Serenity Stone Drop]
[Chantilly Lace Cuff - OMG]
[Renegade Bracelet - this is a staple in my arm candy party. I also want in rose gold!]
This is only a taste of the goodness that is available through the party! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
Hope you & yours have a lovely weekend!
