Valentine's Day Style Part 1: Flirty
1/30/2014
To say that Valentine's Day is a big deal in our house is actually downplaying the holiday. I actually think my love of the holiday started with my mother who always made a big deal of it and has continued my whole life, gaining exponentially through the years. Basically, it's the best holiday ever. hands down. So in preparation of this glorious holiday, I'll be sharing several looks for your plans, whether they be a fun night with the girls, friends, or with your loved one.
[sweatshirt: F21 (similar) // skirt: vince camuto (similar) // kicks: rachel roy // baubles: michael kors, jcrew, max and chloe, stella & dot, kate spade // purse: kate spade (similar) // sunnies: prada]
So I get it, feathers....they can be intimidating and honestly occasionally a little over the top, but paired with a fancy sweatshirt, it gives the skirt an excellent balance and an air of irreverence, which I love. Plus, a sweatshirt is just comfortable anyway you cut it.
This look would be great for a night out or in, for that matter. And if it's particularly chilly, you can throw on a pair of black tights to keep your stems warm. (When I took these pictures it was 60 degrees so tights were a little overkill).

ps - thanks for all of your sweet words of support for my Cooper…I really appreciate it.
So cute! Love the feathers. I have been craving that skirt, but I just don't wear skirts that much in winter. I freeze! (:
