I cannot imagine how the world could not be affected by the events that have taken place in Japan over the past week.  The images, stories, and destruction are utterly devastating and I have been trying to wrap my head around everything since last week.  

I was made aware of For Japan with Love and immediately identified with the cause.  On Friday, 18 March 2011 I will be participating in a Day of Silence in order to raise awareness for those who were affected by the earthquake in Japan.  I hope that you find a way to help the efforts as well; whether by volunteering, donations, or by spreading the word.  Please keep Japan and her people in your thoughts and prayers.  It is going to be a long road to recovery, but with the help of everyone they can get there.
