I've been a fan of this trend since Alice + Olivia's pleated leather mini was showing up everywhere on celebs last year.   I think that they are surprisingly versatile and a nice twist of daring to the sweet pleats.  Definitely worth a try if you have any interest and at various price points, you really don't have any excuse.
