This color combo might just be my new favorite.  Being a lover of a good feminine color combination, naturally I'd be down with purple & pink, but there's also something about the mixture of a warm, soft (and sparkly) sweater and comfy, lace pants that really just knocks it out of the park for me.  These pants I've had for quite some time, but they are such a fan favorite that JCrew keeps bringing them back year after year (and I own them in several colors).

It would be the perfect look for a family or friend get-together and you can even kick the sweater up a notch with a pleated skirt (either metallic or animal print or sequins, dealers choice).  Also, I'm working on a theory that purple (of an shade) is this season's red.  Don't get me wrong, it's never going to replace red as a holiday color, but it's a new, fresh way to be festive without being predictable.
