Nothing says summer like a good white sangria. Since this past weekend marked the 'end' of summer, I decided to send it out with a bang and tried my hand at a stone fruit sangria, which I found on Pinterest. For the most part, I followed the recipe, but made a few alterations of my own.
What you'll need:
- Bottle of white wine (your choice - I used a sauvignon blanc, but the recipe would be great with most whites)
- 3 peaches
- 1 container of raspberries
How:
- Peel one peach and put in food processor until pureed
- Cut up other two peaches and place in bottom of pitcher with container of raspberries
- Pour entire bottle of wine into pitcher
- Refrigerate overnight and serve over ice
Here's the good news, though Labor Day marks the unofficial end of Summer, Fall doesn't officially begin until later in September. Between that and the fact that (at least in NC) temperatures aren't dropping anytime soon, you can still enjoy this beverage for weeks to come.
