this spring why don't you try: planting your own herb garden

4/16/2014

You would never hear me say that I have a green thumb; in fact, I actually liken my gardening abilities to that of a black thumb. Regardless, I have it on good authority that herb gardens are relatively low maintenance and easy to grow and I just love the idea of fresh herbs for cooking.  You'd be amazed how much of a difference it makes.

So over the weekend, I planted our own little herb garden.  The good news is that most places you'd buy herbs have easy to re-plant, already growing plants that you can transfer into a pretty pot and with a little sun, water, and love...voila! We picked mint, cilantro, basil, and rosemary...and I might have picked up a heirloom tomato plant.....maybe I was feeling a little ambitious.

  3. I found you on the Southern Blog Society and thought I'd pop in for a view. Wake Forest is actually having an "Herbfest" for the next two weeks, tons of rare herbs. Good luck with your herbs!
