easter weekend

[Easter flowers]

We had big plans this past weekend...as in 40 people (over half of which were children) at our house for an Easter Egg Hunt & Bunny Brunch.  Well, we woke up on Friday and the forecast did not look good...as in rain-less-than-60-degrees-and-windy-not good. So sadly enough, we ended up canceling - which was sad, but the positive side of things was that we got to spend the morning with some dear friends and the afternoon cuddled in bed for a movie marathon while Peanut napped.

When we lived in Raleigh, our Easter tradition was attendance to the Duke Gardens sunrise service and brunch afterwards.  This year, we didn't make it to church, but did venture out to brunch after the Easter Bunny's visit.  The rest of the weekend was spent eating our weight in Easter candy, hanging out, and enjoying some much needed downtime.  (It's such a precious commodity these days)

Hope you are yours had a fantastic Easter weekend!

  1. The rain really was such a bummer this year, but glad you had a wonderful day despite the bad weather. I love a movie marathon!

  2. The rain might have been a blessing in disguise. 40 people with majority kids sounds like a crazy time. Glad you had a relaxing weekend! :)
