Many of my fondest childhood memories include spending time at my grandparent's house over the summer. This always meant playing in my grandmother's jewelry box, trying on her lipsticks, and smelling her perfume. I realize that I am lucky to have had the opportunity to spend such quality time with my grandmother and as I look back at those times I spent with her, I've come to understand that she knows a thing or two about fashion and being perennially chic.

I am just as guilty as anyone else of walking out of my house in the suburban tuxedo (read yoga pants and tshirt), but I think that simply getting ready for the day, putting together an outfit, and putting on some heels really changes your perspective on the day.

what a wonderful post! i love all the points you brought up and i totally agree! however, there are just going to be days i wear workout clothes all day long. i too would get to dress up in all my grandma's stuff and it was awesome!
