Chanel Nail Polish

3/04/2011

Historically there is always one Chanel Nail Polish a season that garners a ton of attention and inevitably sells out.  This past season, I was fortunate to find Black Pearl which is a fabulous black/grey color that looks similar to the color of a Tahitian Pearl.  Then thanks to Gwen at US Weekly Beauty I got a recommendation to check out Pearl Drop (And who am I to disregard solid advice from a professional?!).  At first glance the color looks white, but once its on the nail, the gold really shines through (though the pictures don't really show it).  It's a fabulous color and I am so excited that it was available in-store.  Now I can't figure out which one I like best.

Overall, Chanel makes a really amazing nail polish.  Sure, it's like three times as expensive as OPI, ESSIE, or most other brands out there, but it is so worth it.  The colors are so unique and rich that they are bound to grab someone's attention.  That and I'm a sucker for Chanel.  (Seriously, that shouldn't surprise ANY of you. I convinced my husband to name our dog Coco, afterall.)

Previous years' colors that still make my heart go pitter-patter: Black, Blue Satin, Nouvelle Vague, Vendetta, and Jade (which I was never able to get my hands on and still haven't recovered).

  1. Super jealous that you got your hands on Black Pearl! It's sadly sold out at my local counter.
