I have been long awaiting the release of Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby. And when I heard that Tiffany & Co partnered with the movie to design pieces that are featured in the film, as well as available in-store, my heart skipped a beat. It seems like a natural pairing to me and the pieces that were produced are stunning with amazing attention to detail with all of the glitz and glamour that The Great Gatsby deserves.
To say that I am stoked for this movie to finally make it into theaters would be the understatement of the world. This one of my favorite books and with an all-star cast (as well as dramatic scenery) like this movie packs, it's going to be a must-see in my book.
Today is my birthday. And like many women, I spend the entire month of my birthday in a state of celebration. (It's all about me afterall). In any event, clearly this birthday will be a little different, but I've been working up inspiration since the beginning of the year for how I want to officially celebrate my birthday (which will likely not occur until May). So this year to celebrate the fourth anniversary of my 25th year, I'll be trying to capture some the Gatsby-themed charm with an outdoor dinner party - themed apparel required, of course.

12/22/2011There are very few things not to like about F. Scott Fitzgerald's arguably, most notable book. The period, the characters, the storyline- all of it is just to die for. And it happens to be one of my all-time favorite books.
The 20s are definitely make a resurgence in their influence of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle as of late. It's definitely a trend I can get behind. (As is the remake of the movie that is currently being filmed in Australia)
