There is something about the state fair that brings out the musical in me.  I have had the Rodgers & Hammerstein song "Our State Fair" in my head for the past two weeks in anticipation of the North Carolina State Fair.


And I have to say, the state fair did not disappoint.  My other confession, other than being a musical junkie, is that I am a sucker for ridiculous fair foods.  The good news for me is that I am more of a grazer and Hubs is adventurous so I come out on the winning end - not having the eat the entire thing, but getting to try about anything.


And, of course, Peanut was amazed by the fair.  His eyes remained about the size of saucers for the entire time we were there.
