Next week I am headed to the Outer Banks for a blissful week of sun, sand, & saltwater. Granted, it will be with an adult to child ratio skewed in the favor of the children, but it will be blissfully chaotic none-the-less. A week at the beach requires a lot of prep and to that end, I am sharing with you a what's in my beach bag for this upcoming week.
a killer bag, one that is big enough to hold everything with pockets on the inside to put necessities at hand's reach.
a full coverage sunhat because skin protection is necessary
sunscreen (spf: 30+); we use Honest for Liam and I swear by Dermalogica for me (added bonus, it smells delicious)
good reads (not that I will have time with all of the kiddos, but I am hoping that I'll be able to sneak a few pages in here & there)
an oversized towel to hold more than just you
a way to stay hydrated in the color 'bikini pink' no less
a pair of easy-to-clean sunnies-you are protecting the rest of your body, why not your eyes?
a go-to emergency kit complete with bandaids, anti-bacterial ointment, wipes, hair ties, medicines, chapstick (with spf), etc.
And yes, that's an iPod. I might be the only person who still keeps my music off of my phone and in a separate place.
