We've been sitting on some information around here. Partly because it is happening rather quickly and somewhat unexpected, but mostly I'm in a bit of denial about it. We are currently in the process of packing up our home and making a move. Sadly not a move down the street (as we were originally planning this summer), but out of the Triangle. We aren't going terribly far - we are headed to Charlotte to start a new and exciting chapter of our lives. But as I have been packing up our lives over the past week, I gotten a bit nostalgic about our time in Raleigh.
This is where we started our lives together.
Where we bought our first home.
We exchanged our wedding vows here.
It's where we started our family.
It's Peanut's first home: where he first rolled, crawled, took his first steps, said 'Coco', 'Mama', and 'Dada'.
It's where we've forged friendships and built a support system filled with love and encouragement.
I know where to get THE best vanilla latte (Parker & Otis), where the best burgers are (Chucks), and where you can find me at my favorite sushi restaurant weekly.

It's very overwhelming. And though I'm sad to be closing this chapter of our lives, I'm encouraged with the knowledge that really great things lie ahead of us: a new home, a new job for Scott (which I'm pretty dang proud of!), an opportunity to work from home for me, and living close to family. And I'm comforted to know that we'll carry our dear friends that we've made here with us to Charlotte and they'll be a part of our lives for years to come. (I'm also a little happy that since I'll be working for the same company, my face will still be around these parts monthly)
So thank you Raleigh for being a home for a new couple from out of town. For welcoming us with open arms and creating amazing opportunities to grow and flourish as a family. We will be forever indebted to you for the charmed life that you afforded us and the beautiful memories that were created here. We are truly grateful. And who knows, maybe one day we'll be back.
