This weekend, I made a quick trip up to DC to co-host a baby shower for a dear friend of mine. We started off the weekend with a trip to test of DryBar in Georgetown. I've been chomping at the bit to check of a DryBar and I have to say that the experience didn't disappoint. [Note to DryBar: Open a location in Raleigh and you'll definitely have a following down south!]
An added bonus of checking out DryBar was that it is located in my most favorite area of DC: Georgetown. It's such a beautiful area, filled with beautiful homes, great shopping, and just gorgeous scenery.
The baby shower itself was really fantastic, if I do say so myself. Our co-hosts so graciously offered up their gorgeous house and really carried all of the food and prep weight. [Definitely one of the downfalls of not being in the DC-Area: not having a homebase to host events like this.] I did get to try my hand at an ombre cake though.

Going up to DC is always so nice: it's wonderful to spend time with our friends and we are so thankful to be able to celebrate these milestones with them! Congrats Laurie & Dan!
