So I don't want to be a traitor to my generation and all but I am not looking forward to Fall for the usual reasons. I actually really am not as obsessed with pumpkin as the rest of my instagram feed is nor do I really enjoy sweaters ALL that much (in spite of my quite large sweater collection). What I am looking forward to is the return of leather weather.
Leather can be a little intimidating at first, but I assure you once you take the jump, you won't regret it. There are so many different ways to integrate it into your wardrobe and I'm breaking down a few of them today, starting with the easiest.
I am a sucker for a good leather jacket. It is literally my go-to to throw on on top of anything and everything I can get my hands on. If you've been around these parts for awhile, you'll notice it. And with the exception of a few months in the summer, I wear them year-round. I really love this one (under $100!); I have last year's version of this one (it's a little pricey, but totally worth it.)
One of the best part of leather skirts, is that you can wear them year round. In the cooler months, I throw on a pair of tights and booties, in the warmer months, I go without. You can event integrate it into your work wardrobe if you do it properly (ie., not too short, not too tight). This one is perfect at an amazing price (under $50); another great option available in petite and under $100. I have this one and it's perfect for the Fall.
Who doesn't love spanx & leather?! But really, it's another super easy way to integrate leather into your wardrobe and by-in-large very comfortable. Throw them on with heels or a pair of fun kicks and you've got it made.
