[off-the-shoulder top // shorts // baubles (here, here, & here) // kicks // sunnies // hat]

Our little guy started tee ball this spring.  And it's as much as tee ball can be with a bunch of 3-5 year olds running around can be (read: some semblance of quasi-organized chaos). It's quite a commitment for a 4-year-old with two games a week but Liam seems to be loving it.

I have been trying to figure out the optimal outfit for such an outting: something that is effortless and comfortable that allows for a quick sprint should our 4-year-old take off (a habit is is bound to do as he is practicing his running), but also still stylish and fun.  I'm not above wearing yoga pants, but I have never done sporty-chic/casual well.  I've been a big fan of JCrew's short selection for awhile - they come in a variety of lengths and colors and tend to stand up season after season.  The off-the-shoulder trend is back again this year and when I saw this number, I knew it was right up my ally.  Together it makes for an easy, chic look that fits the both form and function mentality.
