Did I wash my hair for this?

best shampoo and conditioner, living proof, beauty

After I shared my weekly hair care routine, I received a lot of follow-up asking for shampoo/conditioner recommendations.  The truth is I'm slightly shampoo/conditioner ADD; I don't have a tried and true brand that I swear by or I stick to.  Like mascara, I'm constantly searching for the holy grail of hair care.  I have come into brands which I do truly like so I thought that I'd share what I've tried and stay in my rotation:

What I've used previously:

Best All Around
Redken Blonde Idol, All Soft, and Color Extend Shampoos & Conditioners
Redken does a solid job at shampoo & conditioners.  They keep your hair healthy & strong, smell great, and there is one for practically every hair type out there.

Best for Color
Pureology Hydrate Shampoo & Conditioner
Pureology was created for color treated hair and it lives up to the hype.  I find that my color stays more bolder, my hair stays softer, and overall it seems healthier.

Best for Hydration
Frederic Fekkai Technician Color Care Shampoo & Conditioner
Because of the light nature of my natural hair color, if I am going blonder my hair tends to be more brittle and courser than when I go dark.  For that reason, I love the amount of moisture that Frederic Fekkai's brand delivers.  I also use their Brilliant Glossing Cream if I am blow drying my hair immediately out of the shower.

What I'm currently using:

Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo & Conditioner
Living Proof comes with a lot of hype.  When you have Jennifer Aniston as your spokes person, you have a lot to live up to.  What I love about the brand is that it is backed by science and my inner science nerd digs that.  So far, I've really really liked the No Frizz line.  It certainly keeps my hair under control in the humid summer of North Carolina, but it leaves my hair hydrated, soft, and seemingly healthy.  I think that I might stick this one in my permanent rotation.

Do you have any tried & true shampoos and conditioners? I'd love to hear what you love and swear by?
