Scott and I honeymooned in Greece and it is still one of our favorite places we have ever been.  Between the scenery, the food, and the people, that country is a trifecta for us and we cannot wait to return.

It was a no-brainer to attend the Yiasou Greek Festival in Charlotte this weekend based off of our love of Greek food alone.  Sadly, Scott couldn't join us as he was driving a 24-foot truck with all of our belongings from Raleigh to Charlotte, but he was there in spirit (Thanks babe!).  Peanut and I had some inside guides as some good friends of ours from Raleigh were in town and are a part of the Greek community in Charlotte as well! Plus their son is a month younger than Peanut, so it's always great to get those two together.

What I love so much about the Greek culture is how deep-rooted and meaningful everything that they do is.  Tradition is paramount; from the food, to the dancing, to the beautiful design of their churches.

and of course, there's the food....

  1. This sounds so fun. I didn't know you honeymooned in Greece. So awesome! I hope to go one of these days. Since you're moving all your stuff to Charlotte, does that mean that you found a house?! I hope so!
