If you watch anything this week, it should be this.
This video released on 9/12 was performed on the 57th floor terrace of Four World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. The music is from a pas de deux titled 'After the Rain'.
It's stunning, it's beautiful, it's full of optimism and hope. Which is the premise of what New York City Ballet is trying to do; rebrand 9/12 as a day of optimism and new beginnings. I think it's lovely and brilliant and one of the reasons why I not only love the art form of dance, but why I love...truly love...the New York City Ballet. Oh and I love NYC too.
