Summer to Fall with Glitters Gold

9/12/2012

Today Emily from Glitters Gold is filling in for me.  I'm especially excited that she was able to help a sister out, mostly because well, I've actually known Emily longer than my own sister.  And our families grew up vacationing together.  She's a very dear friend who happens to have a killer sense of style (she's infinitely cooler than me) and an awesome blog. Em is the master at everything from styling to make-up to hair.  Basically she's fabulous-Enjoy!
Hi everyone! Emily here from the blog, Glitters Gold, filling in for Chelsea while she's on vacay! Having known Chelsea my entire life, (literally; our parents were friends in college!) and being an avid reader of Haute Child in the City, when the call came to fill her shoes for a day (and you know those are some killer shoes), I was beyond honored. I thought I'd share with you all an easy way to take an outfit from summer to fall. If you're anything like me, parting with your light and airy dresses and skirts is near impossible. But guess what?! You don't have to! With the addition of a few layers, you'll be well on your way! Here's how:
I originally wore this outfit to a winery back in May. My beloved vintage cowboy boots are a staple in my wardrobe as seen here and here. If you're remixing an old outfit, sticking with a similar color is always an easy shortcut. And now, for some added warmth:
With the addition of a sweater I originally styled with my boyfriend's shirt and some skinny jeans + a basic circle scarf, I'm ready for those cooler temps! For more fall wardrobe inspiration, be sure to stop by Glitters Gold.
Thanks so much for having me, Chelsea!!
