Who, What, Wear: CAM Raleigh Opening Gala

5/05/2011

Last Friday, CAM (Contemporary Art Museum) Raleigh celebrated their opening with a beautiful gala that was a black tie event.  Going Greene Events was the architect of the event, which was beautifully designed and executed.  The museum is absolutely fantastic, as well as a much-needed and welcome addition to the arts scene in Raleigh.  Congratulations to the Board and everyone who made CAM possible.  I was so happy to be able to help celebrate the opening.

It also gave me the opportunity to wear this amazing dress, which has been in my closet for almost a year. A fabulous friend of mine wore this dress to an event previously and I instantly fell in love with it.  After she was done with it, she passed it along to me.  One of the best benefits of having friends with impeccable taste, who are the same size as you.

Since the dress really was the centerpiece, I picked some toned down jewelry that complemented the dress.  I loved the fact that I had the opportunity to wear the jewelry from our wedding again.  Nadri makes very beautiful pieces, that add the right amount of sparkle while not being overpowering.  Added bonus: they are also moderately priced.

In an earlier post, I mentioned that Badgley Mischka makes an amazing shoe.  I found these Randi Sandals (on sale) at Nordies and couldn't resist!
