If there are two things that you might know about me from reading this blog, it's that I like a good glass of wine and I am a born and bred Virginian.  This weekend I was able to combine two of my favorite things over a girls' weekend trip to Nellysford, Virginia.  It was really the perfect fall weekend: beautiful weather, fantastic company, & well, really yummy wine.  As luck would have it October is also Virginia Wine Month - this particular region of Virginia is peppered with great vineyards and wineries so it was the perfect fit for the weekend.  If you are planning to be in the area, I would definitely recommend not missing Veritas (personally, my favorite - I think they have an awesome variety and the space is gorgeous), Afton (beautiful views and the tasting rooms are in the middle of the vineyard), and King Family (they have a fantastic rose and meritage as well as weekly polo matches on Sundays).

The weather also gave me the opportunity to put this fedora into rotation for the fall and winter months. I love the color (and the other options are beautiful as well) and it also allows me to keep my hair under control when I'm out and about.
