I've have this field jacket from JCrew for several years now and to say that it is a workhorse for me would be an understatement.  (And with the addition of a beautiful burgundy color this season, I'm thinking of grabbing another one!) It is great year round, but especially pulls more than it's wait during the in-between months during a season change.  During this time of year when I am buying pieces, I look for items which can easily transition into the next season with a few additions.  I'm looking forward to throwing a layering slip under this dress to make it a little longer and heavier and tossing this coat on as I head out the door.
