This may quantify me as a major nerd, but I've never been quite as excited to get my hands on the books in my most recent reading list.  It's a healthy mix of both fiction and non fiction (I know, bear with me here) with some notable new titles, as well as some older ones. 

All the Light We Cannot See: This book is by the newly appointed Pulitzer Prize winner, Anthony Doerr.  It's a piece of historical fiction based on two people on either side of WWII whose paths cross.  Besides all of the hoopla surrounding it, the plot line seems very intriguing.  

Between You & Me, Confessions of a Comma Queen: I grew up in a household where there was a huge emphasis on grammar; therefore this non fiction book by a copy editor at The New Yorker for three decades is right up my ally.

Dead Wake: Erik Larson wrote another favorite book of mine, Devil in the White City.  In his latest work, he explores the final passage of the Luistania.  He's a masterful writer and I cannot wait to read the two point of views he portrays in this book.

The Girl on the Train: Still on the list - I know.  Even your grandmother has read it.

So You've Been Publicly Shamed: A look at an under appreciated force in our lives, I'm intrigued to read this buzzed-about title.

The Light Between Oceans: Another title which has graced the New York Times Best-Seller list and one which is being turned into a movie in the not-so-distant future, it's a fictional work on the unintended and unforeseen consequences of the decisions we make in life.

Very Good Lives: Anything by JK Rowling, sign me up, but I'm particularly intrigued by this piece of nonfiction which she's done that is based on her commencement speech at Harvard back in 2008.
