Let's talk resolutions; I make them every year and most of the time I do a decent job at sticking to the majority of them with several falling off of the list relatively early on. To be honest, resolutions leave me feeling a bit wanting. So this year, I'm not doing resolutions. This year, I've decided to assign a theme instead. The idea isn't new or my own even, but the idea of assigning a theme to apply to your daily actions rather than a more specific behavior change. I think that it's more feasible, more applicable, and more realistic to enact real change in your life.
So my theme this year will be mindfulness. Mindfulness in everything I do and doing everything with an intent: from being present with peanut, to work, to being with Scott. The idea of putting down or pushing out whatever is in the forefront of my mind and enjoying the moment with the one that you are with, it just sounds like an admirable, worthy and achievable goal. And this mindfulness can be applied beyond relationships or work activities to spending, eating, and overall well being.
So without further ado, what are your resolutions this year? Do you make them? Believe in them? Share them with others? I'd love to hear your take on how you kick off the new year.

I love the idea of having a theme, and love what you chose. Wouldn't the world be a better place if everyone chose to be more mindful? Thanks for this, Chels!
