Nothing quite embodies grace & class these days like Diane Von Furstenberg.  In 1970, funded with a $30,000 investment, she launched her career in the fashion industry.  Although she is best known for her wrap dress, her line has continued to grow year after year solidifying her spot in the fashion industry; her line now includes home goods, luggage, & more (she even did a collaboration with Diet Coke to design a set of bottles).  She's lived quite a life and grown her empire far beyond where she started.  Her success in the fashion industry would be enough, but Diane is also heavily involved in several philanthropic organizations and is an advocate for women & professional development.  Basically, she's one awesome lady.  (And I would recommend following her on twitter - totally inspirational!)
