Our weekend can pretty much be summed up by one picture....

our son, asleep and in a kilt. And those socks, straight from Ireland thanks to a dear friend.

But because I'm photo happy, there are plenty more where that came from to document the weekend.

Because I am certifiable sometimes, I tried my hand at made-from-scratch Chocolate Guinness Stout cupcakes.  Usually my definition of "from scratch" is scratching open the Betty Crocker pre-mixed cake batter, but I took advantage of Liam's nap schedule during the day and rocked the recipe out.  They (surprisingly) turned out fantastic.

St Patrick's Day is usually one of my favorite holidays and I am quickly learning that when you have kids, you have even more of an excuse to celebrate.  We partook in the annual St Patrick's Day Parade downtown this year.  Liam was a sleepy captive audience.
