Let me preface this post by saying, I have THE best friends. Not only are they wickedly funny, a fabulous time, and are truly loyal, wonderful people, but they bring me inspiration. A particular favorite of mine shot me an email the other day asking my thoughts on Kobi Levi's shoe sculptures. Clearly I instantly shot back an "OMG" email that was highly unedited, but I thought I would share these shoes and temper my commentary (a little) for you folks.
Most recognizable for their feature in Lady Gaga's "Born this Way" video, Kobi Levi's shoes are not for the faint of heart. Honestly, they aren't my cup of tea. I find them a little too outrageous and though the designer swears that they are structurally sound, I think that they belong more in an art museum than on someone's foot. Being a connoisseur of sky-high heels, you would think that I would eagerly take these on, but I can't imagine wearing them for any length of time without being is a state of total discomfort. I do think that the imagination and design around them are quite astounding. Levi gets some serious points for creativity.
You gotta give the guy credit; at the very least, these shoes are certainly a conversation starter.
